Naira Ruiz Wilson is a writer and editor based in the Washington, D.C., metro area. Her creative writing has been nominated for Best Small Fictions and has appeared in Wigleaf, Typehouse Literary Magazine, Nymphs, Dynamis Journal, and Scribble. She’s an assistant nonfiction editor at Pithead Chapel and works as an essay editor. Her reporting and opinion pieces have appeared in places such as Politico, The Root, The Washington Informer, The Pop Feminist, and Bitch Magazine. She received her master’s degree in journalism from Georgetown University, where she focused on narrative nonfiction and opinion writing.
